The building is in a great location close to James Madison park and downtown Madison. Management is responsive, contributing to a positive living experience.

I've lived in Butler Plaza for 3 years and have had a great experience! The location is ideal right by the Capitol Square and not too far from the university, and the apartment itself is clean, quiet, updated, and the perfect size. I particularly love the amenities in the kitchen (with an ice machine and disposal!) and the discount you get at Capital Fitness. I've had no issues whatsoever with Butler Management—they've been friendly and rapidly responsive to my (few) maintenance requests. The building is also reasonably priced for the area. I would renew my lease if I wasn't moving away!

I really loved living at Butler Plaza and am very sad to be leaving!! The building is very well maintained. The common areas are meticulously cleaned daily, the landscaping is beautiful, and the maintenance team is always around the building. The one or two small maintenance issues I had were resolved within 24 hours and handled very professionally. The community is VERY pet friendly which I love and appreciate. My dog really struggled with transitioning to apartment living and management was so kind and understanding, even offering to let my dog sit with them in the office to relieve his anxiety. Most of the residents here have lived here for many years and are friendly in the hallway and management knows residents by name. The only “complaints” I have are that the laundry can be pricey because you occasionally have to dry the load more than once and the resident discount for Capital Fitness still feels expensive for an amenity but it is a nice perk. If I did not have to relocate for school I would absolutely be staying at Butler Plaza!

My wife and I moved into Odessa this summer. We have been absolutely pleased with the apartment and the staff. We are pleased enough that after 4 months, we have already renewed our lease for another year. We have had a couple of maintenance items and they have been incredibly prompt in taking care of them.

Bottom line, if you are looking to rent downtown, Butler Management is the place to go. Rented for 4 years and always treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Micki and staff are amazing. Sable sincerely greeting you at the door, Taylor promptly managing even the smallest of maintenance requests and Micki responding to several nuisance, problematic situations over the years with total professionalism. I could not ask for more. Should I ever chose to live downtown Madison again, my first phone call will be to Butler Management.
